Fright Night on the Dance Floor Saturday 31 October 2026 | 7:00 pm–11:00 pm Taupō’s dance communities are coming together for one wicked night of music, movement and Halloween mayhem. Whether you dance Rock ’n’ Roll, Modern Jive, Salsa, Swing, Ballroom, Latin, Bachata, Line Dance or something completely different, this night is about sharing one dance floor, meeting people from across the local dance community and having a great time. Expect a fun mix of music throughout the evening, plenty of opportunities to dance your favourites, and perhaps even try something new and spooktacular. Dress Up. Dance Out. Get Spooky. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but definitely not compulsory. Come dressed to impress, dressed to scare, or simply dressed ready to dance. We’ll also have a few fun costume prizes during the evening. Tickets Early Bird: $10 per person Book ahead, save yourself $10 and help us prepare for the night. Door Sales: $20 per person Door sales will be available subject to capacity. Early bird pre-sales ticket purchases help cover the cost of putting the night together, including decorations, treats, prizes and supplies. BYO This is a BYO drinks event, so bring along whatever you would like to enjoy during the evening. Please drink responsibly and make suitable transport arrangements. Halloween Treats for the Neighbourhood Because it wouldn’t be Halloween without trick-or-treaters, we’ll also have plenty of lollies ready for local children making their way around the neighbourhood. It’s our little way of making the evening part of the wider Halloween fun. Everyone Is Welcome You don’t need to belong to a particular dance school, club or style. You don’t need to bring a partner. And you certainly don’t need to be an expert. If you enjoy dancing, music and a good social night out, you’re invited. Bring your dance friends, invite another dance community, or come along and meet some new people. One night. One dance floor. One seriously wicked party.
